Q:

"How old is this unit? Thanks"
- Asked by #563836 03/21/2011 08:53:34 PM

A:

The unit was placed in service on June 23, 2008

Q:

"Why are you selling this unit? Does it produce as the manufacturer power curve indicates?"
- Asked by #563836 03/31/2011 02:02:09 PM

A:

The simple answer for why we are selling the unit is because the location selected for its installation does not receive enough wind to produce enough electricity to make it viable. Our Board discussed several options such as looking for a new site, or raising the unit higher, but ultimately decided to sell the unit. The unit does produce electricity at this location, but at a location with sufficient wind I have no reason to believe that it will not produce the amount of electricity indicated by the manufacturer

Q:

"Can you tell me the age of the unit? How about the model number and specs on it. Phil"
- Asked by #561534 05/16/2011 07:05:54 PM

A:

The unit was placed in service on June 23, 2008 so it is just coming up on three years old. The model number is 15/50, the "15" refers to the 15 m (approx 45 ft) diameter rotors and the "50" is the projected output of unit (50 kW). I do have some specifications and I will e-mail them separately

Q:

"Do you an approx idea on how much the cost would be to take this down and crate it ready for transportation? Thank You!"
- Asked by #560996 03/01/2011 09:18:53 PM

A:

We do have 1 quote from a professional company of $14,880. Their quote includes complete disassembly and crating for shippment. They are the same company that assisted with the installation so I feel confident that they would do a superior job

Q:

"how much energy does it generate do you have an est on shipping and disassembly the shipping is to warrington pa, 18976"
- Asked by #562242 03/19/2011 08:18:55 PM

A:

As long as the winds is maintained at 25.3 miles per hour the generator is rated to produce 50 kw continually. The generator will cut-in (start spinning) when the wind speed reaches 10.2 miles per hour and cut-out at 50 miles per hour to prevent damage to the blades and system. We do have 1 quote from a professional company of $14,880. Their quote includes complete disassembly and crating for shippment. I know this seems like a lot but they are the same company that assisted with the installation so I feel confident that they would do a superior job. Shipping to your location will be actual cost from a trucking company so I don't have an actuual estimate by I would expect it to be about $1,000

Q:

"would it be possible to see this unit and a phone # to talk to someone thanks joe"
- Asked by #561738 04/03/2011 11:45:57 PM

A:

It is definately possible to see the unit. It is located at the Pine Community Park in Wexford, PA 15090. My name is Scott Anderson and my phone number is (724) 625-1636 extension 115

Q:

"please estimate roughly the costs i would incur to have your township take the power station down and crate it?"
- Asked by #563784 03/18/2011 08:13:20 PM
