Certified payment by check payable to the Town of New Salem.
You are bidding on a vintage fire truck, produced by Mack Trucks Canada in 1972. As such, the VIN may not conform, however the Town of New Salem has a title in hand. It is being sold in as is/where is condition. This truck is set up as a tanker with a 2400 gallon poly tank, installed in 1999, with a quick dump chute on the rear and a functioning 1000 GPM front mount pump. It still runs and was in service until November 2018. The odometer reads 61599 and the hour meter reads 568. However, these gauges are probably replacements for the original ones. The truck has the original 10 speed split shift transmission and dual rear axles. The truck started out as an over the road tractor and was converted to a fire truck in 1982. While maintained by the fire department the vehicle displays normal wear and tear for a 47 year old truck. There are small oil leaks, rust on several places on the body and in the compartments. Included are the original service manuals, quick dump chute extenders (90 degree angles and an extension) and whatever spare parts we had in stock to include oil and air filters.
