2002 Ford F-550 Dump with Plow and Spreader

Chartiers Township is auctioning a 2002 Ford F-550 Dump Truck with the plow and spreader.  Interested parties may place bids on the municipal auction site municibid.com.  The Township will not open or accept offers in any other form. Bids will be received until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 26, 2018:  The truck will be available for inspection at 2 Buccaneer Drive, Houston, PA 15342 during regular business hours.  Please call the Township office at 724-745-3415 to arrange an inspection.  This piece of equipment will be sold “AS IS”.  The truck is not currently running and is in need of repairs due to fire damage in January 2018. Per insurance adjuster the right front brake caliper was frozen, causing the brake pads to get hot and in the process the heat caused the rubber brake hose to melt and the brake fluid got on the brake pads and caught fire.  Inspection showed damage was isolated with no damage to engine.  See photos.  The Township has made every effort to describe vehicles and their conditions as accurately as possible and will not be held responsible for typographical errors or errors in description.  Therefore the Township encourages inspection prior to bidding.  Bids will be awarded at the March 27, 2018 meeting of the Chartiers Township Board of Supervisors at 4:00 p.m. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and/or informalities in any bid when deemed in the best interest of the Township to do so.
