REQUEST FOR BID-SALE OF REAL PROPERTY - RFBS - 2018-02

The North Attleboro Board of Selectmen is soliciting sealed bids for the sale of a parcel of land and all improvements thereon including a single family home at 616 Towne Street, North Attleboro, MA, which contains approximately 24,595 square feet. The Dimensions of the property are 200’ x 123.87’ x 127.1’ x 200’ more or less referred to in Book 1241 Page 148 in Bristol County Registry of Deeds (Northern district) dated February 18, 1957 for a minimum purchase of Two Hundred Thousand ($200,000.00) Dollars and No Cents in accordance with the Uniform Procurement Act M.G.L. 30B. The Town is willing to grant a non-exclusive easement for this property to provide the property owner with access to Towne Street. 

CRITERIA

• A proposal of 10% of the proposed purchase is required.
• The bidder must provide evidence of ability to obtain financing or method of payment if bidder pays cash.
• Only bids in a sealed envelope that are mailed to or dropped off at the Board of Selectmen's Office at the Town of North Attleboro will be accepted.

REQUIRED SUBMISSION

• Certificate of Tax Attestation required
• Disclosure of beneficial interests (M.G.L. 7C §38, requires disclosure of all beneficial interest in real property acquired or disposed of by a public agency. The selected proposer’s disclosure of beneficial interests must be filed with DCAMM. No contract is valid until the seller files this form with DCAMM.)

RULE FOR AWARD

The highest-priced proposal from a responsive and responsible bidder will be selected.

The bid deadline is January 7, 2019, at 1:00 PM at which time all bids will be publicly opened and read into record in the Lower Level Conference Room of the North Attleboro Town Hall. The Board of Selectmen may reject any bid deemed to be not in the best interest of the Town.
