Hi! Up for bid is this 30KW military generator. It is powered by a John Deere 4 cylinder turbocharged diesel. We got this running and it runs well with good oil pressure however it quits after the starter switch is released. I believe there is an electrical issue. There is a small fuel leak at the injector pump at a fuel line. I'm not sure if it produces electricity since I can't keep it running. The school district does not wish to put any more effort into it. It is on a heavy chassis with air brakes and mechanical brakes for parking and is equipped with a pintle hitch. The unit weighs in at just over 5000 pounds.
