Scrap Miscellaneous Copper

Approximately 13,950 Lbs of miscellaneous scrap copper. Cable coverings are included in that weight.  (see attached pictures)  Wood reels and weight of containers are not included in the weight of the materials.  Lot sold "As Is" with no warranty written or implied.  Wood reels are to be taken with lot.  Metal containers are property of the Borough and are not included with this auction.  Successful bidder will be responsible for removal and pick up of materials from the agency's premises.

Public Viewing will be at Borough of Chambersburg Service Center, 80 South Franklin St, Chambersburg, PA.  Public viewing will be conducted on between May 26 and June 02, 2015 from the hours of 8:00am-2:00pm, please call for appointment at 717-263-4111 x 293.  Bidders are highly encouraged to view scrap copper prior to bidding. 

The successful bidder is responsible for supplying proper manpower, equipment, and vehicles for pick up.   The Borough could assist in loading by raising scrap containers onto bidders' truck.  Containers shall not be taken from the Borough yard.  Pick up to be between 8:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, within 2 weeks after award of bid.  Please call for appointment at 717-263-4111 x 293.  Scales are available to confirm weight.

The Borough of Chambersburg reserves the right to accept or reject any Bid which it may deem to be for or in the best interest of the Borough of Chambersburg.

Payment is due within five (5) business days of close of auction.  No deposits or partial payments will be accepted.  Money Order, Cashier's Check or Wire Transfer, are acceptable forms of payment.  All sales are final.
