The Borough of Oakmont is seeking bids on an Onan Model 15.0JC3CR31135 Emergency Generator (15 kilowats). This natural gas generator has a 31P-LHD battery, and an LTP 60-3 transfer switch. The Onan generator has been in service as an emergency generator for the Oakmont Borough Municipal Building since 1967, until it was replaced in early 2015. The Onan generator was fully operational when taken out of service. Since March 2007, the generator was serviced twice a year by Cummins Bridgeway. Prior to this, the generator was serviced by Myers Electric and then staff from the Borough’s Street Department. In 2013, the battery on the generator was replaced with the current model. A full-service inspection was performed on the generator in September 2014. Maintenance logs are available for review at the Borough Offices.
Inspections on the generator can be set up by e-mailing: mdimatteo@oakmontborough.com. Winning bidder will assume all costs for transportation of the generator.
