A: I need to give them an old registration to prove that the vehicle is ours. I reached out to that department to see if they can find one. If they can get me one, I would have to give it to the winning bidder to get if I can't.
Q: Is the vehicle being sold as a salvage vehicle when one is only getting a bill of sale?
A: Condition is unknown
Q: New York requires a title from the previous owner with a bill of sale. I live in New York and I did call NJ DMV and they didn't understand either - why couldn't the municipality just go to the local DMV and get one printed up.
A: I have an appointment for next Tuesday. I'll try my best to get one.
Q: Are you going to give a SS-88 with the vehicle? Thank you
A: We get a receipt from Municibid.
Q: I don't understand New York is not like New Jersey in New Jersey you can get a duplicate title right from your local DMV. How is one suppose to register with no title? Thank you
A: I believe that the receipt from Municibid would work. Please ask them what kind of proof you need or call DMV.
Q: What is the issue with not having a transferable title?
A: It got lost somewhere and we never got a duplicate
