Emergency backup generator and associated equipment

A Cummins/Onan model 1500DFMB/64211J (1500 kW) emergency generator system, a simplex saturn-HV 1500 resistive load bank, a 13.2kV primary switch, and a 2,400 volt transformer. The generator & switchgear panel have been housed inside BCWSA's Water Booster Station 3A located at 1250 Gibson Road in Bensalem PA. This has been maintained as an emergency backup generator since the installation in 1994. The load bank was also installed in 1994, and sits outside on a concrete pad as well as the primary switch & transformer on a concrete pads, and they have been installed since the pump station was first constructed in the 1980's. The generator system has been regulary exercised by BCWSA personnel, with preventitive maintenance routinely performed. Exercise records & maintenance reports are available for review.

The generator has approximately 262 hours of run time and is fully operational and was regularly serviced up until 2014.

The successful Bidder will assume all costs for removal and transportation of the generator & associated equipment from the site. BCWSA personnel will make all necessary disconnections of piping and conduits, remove exhaust ductwork,and open the exhaust louver. The successful Bidder will be responsible for removing the generator from the building through the exhaust louver opening. The inlet Silencer is located on the roof of the one-story building and shall be removed from that location by the successful Bidder.
