Q: What's the reserve
A: $8,000
Q: Can you please explain what "must be plugged into electrical outlet" means? What batteries were replaced in 2023? Thank you.
A: Ambulances have a large amount of electronic devices and technology systems that run off of the 12 volt DC power system. Many of these devices and systems (including computers) continue to run and consume power even if the ambulance is shut down, which is why the unit is plugged in while at headquarters. Two (2) heavy duty batteries were replaced last year. Similar to a vehicles batteries.
Q: Can a preference be given to nonprofit with a 501(3)(c) that is working in Rural Communities where there is an urgent need for Ambulance?
A: As a regional police department that is sustained by our resident's taxes, we cannot give preference and must follow the rules of MuniciBid. Should you win the auction, we will gladly assist in any way we can.
Q: Can you give the date codes on the tires?
A: The two (2) front tires are 2418. There are four (4) back tires, the two visible ones are 4116.
Q: Does this vehicle still have the ability to be repurposed as an ambulance?
A: Absolutely, the only modifications made were the removal of the stretcher "chalks" on the floor of the box.
Q: Hi, any known issues? maintained regularly, records? approximate mpg? thanks
A: There are no current issues with the vehicle. SBRPD has had the vehicle for the past 5 years; before that it was owned by a fire department within our jurisdiction. The vehicle has been maintained with the utmost care. No idea on the mpg.
Q: What are inside dimensions of the box
A: The dimensions are: Back of cab to center axle - 98", Box overall - 166", Inside Height - 70", Overall Height - 106", Overall Length - 22', Wheel to wheel - 160". There is NO corrosion/paint bubbling on the box exterior. The ambulance has been vinyl wrapped black with red paint underneath.
Q: Hi, what gas uses and engine size. Thanks.
A: 6.0L Powerstroke Diesel
