The Town of Tyngsborough is selling a 17-foot 1996 Cobia 174C boat with a 50 horsepower Yamaha engine. The boat is being sold with a trailer which it is currently set on. The boat appears to be in good condition and the last time the Town had the boat in the water, the engine was operable. The town makes no warranty about the boat and the boat is being sold as is.
The boat was used for police patrol operations on a lake in Town and was recently replaced with a newer model.
Interested purchasers may physically view the boat for sale at 89 Kendall Road (DPW Yard) Tyngsborough, MA 01879. The yard is open to the public 24/7 and no appointment is required.
Q: During the winter, was the boat stored inside? Thanks!!!
A: No. The boat was wrapped and stored outside.
Q: Do you have a title for the boat and registration card for the trailer? Thanks!!!
A: We have a title for the boat and are unsure about a registration card for the trailer. We are currently looking for it. It is registered so we might need to just request a duplicate.
Q: the hull looks solid. Is it?
A: Yes.
Q: Is trailer in good condition? When was the last time the engine was run and was it winterized? Does boat operate as intended?
A: Trailer is in good condition. The engine was run three weeks ago and was in water at the time. As such it hasn't been winterized since. The boat operates using an external fuel tank because the internal tank had a leak.
