This unit will not work because it was a prototype, with no working software available. It needs to be fully taken apart, moved down a flight of stairs, with an estimated weight of 3,000LB, with the buyer 100% responsible for disassembly and moving.
Q: Could you please confirm this is the correct link to the unit. https://simulators.redbirdflight.com/products/fmx
A: The link is in the Item Description above: https://simulators.redbirdflight.com/products/fmx
Q: Could you please confirm that this system is in a condition where it could be fully operated With the software and hardware update updates?
A: Software and hardware updates from Redbird will not work because they aren’t compatible with this prototype.
Q: I have a connection at Redbird I would need the exact model number and any other pertinent information is that possible can someone call me My phone number is 908-268-2962 and my name is Steven
A: That is the correct model number. It is serial number 2.
Q: Just so I understand correctly, this unit will never work again because it was a prototype, with no working software that can provided by the vendor? And potentially hardware issues as well. And it needs to be fully taken apart and moved down a flight of stairs, with an estimated weight of 3,000LB, with the buyer 100% responsible? I would think all of this should be in the "item description" as it is rather deceiving to bidders as this is an unusable unit, that has zero manufacture support. If all of the above is correct than this unit will never function again and is worth scrap value only?
A: Correct on all accounts. This information has been added to the description.
Q: So this unit doesn't work and the software is not available to make it work?
A: The unit would need software updates in order to function, however, software from Redbird will not work because they aren’t compatible with this prototype.
Q: Does everything function as intended? The pictures do not show much detail, do all of the features work / no visible damage? Is there help on site with loading?
A: The simulator is a prototype. It needs software and possibly hardware updates. As such, any replacement parts or software from Redbird will not work in the sim because they aren’t compatible with the prototype. There is no physical damage to anything. All the hardware is included. The Buyer assumes all responsibility for disassembly (which will be required to get it out of the room). There is no working elevator in the building, so all parts will need to be taken down a set of stairs.
Q: What's the reason for relisting?
A: The last successful bidder decided not to make the purchase.
Q: How involved is disassembling for transport?
A: Sections can be unbolted for transport.
