Up for auction is a piece of testing equipment that was used by our Engineering class here at our Votech school. This is a FLOTEK 360 Wind Tunnel that was purchased new back in 2008 for a little over $18K. From what I am told this was used to reproduce wind and testing on objects placed inside the unit. This has been in the classroom since new and due to a program change we are no longer in need of this piece. That instructor is no longer on staff here as well so I will try my best to and answer any questions you may have but other than the book that goes with it what you see in the photos is what you get. This unit is long and can be loaded with a forklift or pulled onto a trailer by hand but if you are the winning bidder please make sure you have proper transport vehicle and tie downs. Q: total length and width of the unit?
A: Total length of the unit including the handles is 94". The total depth of the unit including the control box that hangs off the side is 32". And total height of the unit at its tallest point is 54". This machine can be rolled with wheels on one end but it does have some significant weight to it. Thanks
Q: When was it last used and was it in good working order at the time? Thank you.
A: It was just used last school year and it is in great condition. This unit has seen very little use and was only used a couple times throughout each school year for the students finished projects. It was used in a climate controlled classroom setting and never taken outside or stored in the cold. The only reason we are getting rid of it is because our Engineering program has switched over to a Mechatronics class and this piece of equipment will no longer be needed. Thanks
