This is a retired transit bus. This is a non-lift bus. This bus still runs, drives and stops. Some parts are missing. The bus does run on propane as a dedicated fuel with the Roush propane fuel system. This vehicle is being sold as is, as seen, with no warranties implied or expressed. Will make a good parts vehicle or fix up and use as a camper. Will be sold with no reserve and must be removed from our lot within 14 days of auction end.
Q: how many feet long is this bus?
A: 25ft
Q: how do you program the front sign to read something different? what's the ages of tires?
A: I am not sire of the age of the tires, we can go over progtamming the sign with the winning bidder.
Q: so based on 3/4 tank of fuel remaining. its likely feasible its successfully make it 70 miles away to midland for refueling there? based on your info of a 40 gallon tank that's 3/4 full, at about 6 mpg? once i get it back this way, fueling up isn't an issue.. its getting it to a place to ensure enough fuel to get it home is my issue.
A: I dont understand this question.
Q: the rear ceiling unit in back of bus, is it heat only, ac only or both heat and ac? does it work good too? any other known issues with the vehicle as well. what is the age or ddot code on tires and what is the tires sizes?
A: The rear unit is ac only and we usually need to charge them every spring. I don't know of any issues, but vehicle is being sold as is as seen. You are welcome to look at it and check over yourself.
Q: sorry i meant how many miles on a full tank?
A: This is going to vary based on the driver and driving conditions, but 240 miles would be average.
Q: how many miles. per gallon would it get, or per say, how many gallons on a full tank? how many gallons of propane does it hold? what places would you recommend for obtaining fuel? are service records included? was this purchased new and owned entirely by you guys?
A: This vehicle gets 6.5 miles per gallon and has a 40 gallon of usable fuel tank size. I have no recommendations on where to fuel, but anyone with a euro fitting adapter should be able to fuel it. Service records are not included, yes, this was purchased new by us an in our fleet its entire life.
Q: also, how much fuel will be in vehicle? i need to drive it from your locatio. to bay city. i can also pay you for fuel to fill up the tank prior to leaving prudenville if possible to do.
A: The pictures show about 3/4 tank of fuel, these buses do not get the same mileage as a gas bus, I would be prepared to put fuel in it somewhere along the way, we are not able to sell you fuel for any price.
Q: How much does it typically cost to fill up
A: We are a tax exempt government agency, so we do not street price for propane. I am not sure what they would charge you.
Q: How do you fill it up with propane? and does it solely run on propane or Propane and Gasonline?
A: We fill from our propane dispenser and can be filled by most propane providers that have the euro fill adapter. It can be converted at your expense to a standard acme fitting as well. It runs solely on propane as stated in the listing.
Q: Really need to know what parts are missing. Can it be driven off lot ? raod worthy ?
A: There is a rear passenger seat missing missing as shown in the pictures. It has been out of service for several months and we will guarantee it is road worthy. You are welcome to come and inspect this vehicle to determine that. It does run, drive and stop.
Q: Any rust on frames And What parts are missing
A: I am not aware of any rust on the frame, other than surface rust. You are welcome to come inspect this vehicle, or send someone to do so.
