The item is offered for sale AS-IS, WHERE-IS, with all faults and without any warranties or guarantees, either expressed or implied. The Town of Walpole makes no representations regarding the condition, operability, or fitness for any particular purpose. The successful bidder assumes full responsibility for the condition of the item at the time of sale. Bidders are solely responsible for conducting all due diligence prior to submitting a bid. Prospective bidders are strongly encouraged to inspect the item before bidding. To schedule an inspection, interested parties may contact the School Transportation Department at (508-660-7200 x5276) to arrange an appointment. By submitting a bid, the bidder acknowledges that they have either inspected the item or voluntarily waived their right to do so, and accepts the item in its current condition, including but not limited to mileage, trim level, and any visible and/or mechanical defects. Submission of a bid constitutes a binding agreement to purchase the item if awarded. The successful bidder shall complete the transaction regardless of any defects or conditions discovered before or after the close of bidding. Upon the close of bidding, the Town will notify the successful bidder via email and issue an invoice. The successful bidder shall contact the School Transportation Department at (508-660-7200 x5276) to schedule a pickup appointment. No item(s) shall be released without a scheduled appointment. At the time of pickup, the successful bidder must present valid identification and remit full payment in the form of a certified bank check payable to the “Town of Walpole.” Personal checks will not be accepted. Payment shall be made at the Purchasing Department, Walpole, Massachusetts. No item(s) or bill of sale shall be released until payment has been received and confirmed. The Town of Walpole shall not provide assistance with loading, removal, or transportation of the item(s). The successful bidder is solely responsible for removal and must provide all necessary labor, equipment, and materials. The Town of Walpole reserves the right to reject any and all bids, in whole or in part, if deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. All sales are final. No refunds, returns, or exchanges shall be permitted under any circumstances.
