Vehicle would not pass inspection due to rust/holes on frame. Transmission was starting to fail. Vehicle has not been moved for approximately 2 years. Does not run.

Q: Does it not run because of a dead battery or is there other issues causing it not to run? And when parked do you know if it had a check engine light on? Thank you
A: It had problems all around - I don't recall a check engine light but the transmission was a mess (put it in drive it would start backing up, sometimes it wouldn't move at all). The frame had multiple spots that had worn through and it's been sitting for 2-3 years since then so I'm sure it's worse now. Even at the time we took it out of service, the shop told us it would cost way more to repair other issues than the vehicle was worth. And it wasn't safe for student transportation any longer.
