Looking for a reliable used vehicle? Please note that this vehicle does not come with a key. The ignition and door lock cylinders will need to be replaced at the purchaser's expense. This vehicle was removed from service due to age and mileage, but it is being sold as is with no warranty implied or otherwise.
The Town will start the vehicle to get it on a tow truck; however, please be aware that a key will NOT be provided. The current odometer reading is 51,981.
Q: Has the water pump been replaced? Thanks
A: Our Fleet Foreman is not sure if the water pump has been replaced or not.
Q: Hi, what is the idling hours on it?
A: The engine idling hours are 1,971. The overall engine hours are 3,563.
Q: So, its has a fleet key, why is the town not providing the keys that came with the car? Also, are the FORD recalls being address and why hasnt the Town taken care of these issues? Poor Maintenance
A: It is the policy of the Town of Franklin to not release a fleet key, to the public, that will start multiple vehicles in our fleet. The vehicle identification number has been entered in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, as well as the Ford Motor Company database and there are no open recalls on this vehicle.
Q: Why’s the town keeping the keys? and can the bring locksmith to to cut and program new set of keys?
A: This vehicle has been using a "fleet key" and there is not a specific individual key that we can give you for the vehicle. The ignition and door lock cylinders will need to be replaced.
Q: Is the damage in the photo in the front or back part of the car. TY
A: There is a photo with a ding on a back seat door and there is a photo with a scratch on the rear back of the vehicle.
Q: Does this have any rust, are any warning lights on??
A: There are no warning lights on. I did not notice any rust on the vehicle - there are some dings and scratches, which I did take pictures of.
Q: Does the AC work?
A: Yes, it does work.
