This used, green 1990 BMY M931A2 military truck with approximately 379 original miles was acquired by the New Marlborough, Massachusetts Highway Department as military surplus equipment for parts. This truck starts and runs, although it has never been registered as we do not possess the title. This truck has a Cummins diesel, 6-cylinder engine with an automatic transmission. This truck does not have a transferrable title.
This auction will be closed at 11:30 pm on Monday, September 8, 2025, and results of the auction will be voted on by the Board of Selectmen that evening.
Q: You state: Does not have a transferrable title. Does that mean I cannot obtain a title for this vehicle? If not, how am I to use the vehicle on major roads with no title and no way to register? except to use it around the farm. TIA
A: Depending on your state, it may be possible to obtain a title. We have not looked into this process. This truck is being sold as is.
Q: Has the vehicle been used for high-water rescue or driven cab high water?
A: Under our ownership this vehicle has not been driven through water, and there is no evidence that it was driven through water before we purchased it.
Q: Why do you have it listed as not being able to be driven off of the property
A: Thanks for your question. We have never had it DOT inspected and are not sure if all lights work. Other than that, it can be driven off the property.
Q: Why is there no title, and does the truck run
A: This vehicle starts and runs. We purchased it from military surplus as a parts truck. When we saw that it had only 24 miles, our conscience wouldn’t allow us to take it apart. We never obtained the proper paperwork to apply for a title. Thanks for your questions.
