2019 Ford F150 Police truck needs repair. Below is from a local Ford DealershipENGINE01 : ENGINE CONCERN (NOISES, LEAKS, OTHER) CUSTOMER STATESCUSTOMER STATES THEY
SMELL OIL BURNING FROM EXHAUST. CHECK AND ADVISE.
Camshaft Gear/Sprocket: confirmed oil burning smell present after test drive. also confirmed rattle
on startup noise present from engine bay. found oil leak originating from driver side valve cover
being cracked and leaking. engine front timing cover is also leaking. rattle noise originating from
camshaft VCT phaser units. recommend replace all four VCT phasers for noise. with high mileage of
vehicle and high engine idle hours, it is also recommend to replace timing chains, tensioners,
guides, and VCT solenoids. recommend replace driver side valve cover during VCT replacement and
replace serpentine belts during VCT replacement.
