The truck is equipped with a 4.0L V6 and automatic transmission.
It is in fair condition with some rust in the areas of the rocker panels and door bottoms.
The front driveshaft was removed at the time it was taken out of service. This should be replaced before any substantial driving is done.
Q: is the Transfer Case or Transmission impacted?
A: The repair shop that worked on it only indicated that the drive shaft was the issue.
Q: why was the drive shaft taken out and will it be reloaced prior to sale,and if not put back in would it be available with the sale of the truck
A: We do not have the old drive shaft. From what I could get from the repair shop the universal closest to the transfer case failed. To make the repair it would require replacement of the driveshaft assembly . Due to the District having received the replacement for the ranger and it being taken out of service it was decided not to repair it.
