Q: Will you accept Cash instead of a Bank Check? All necessary Bill of Sale paperwork will be signed accordingly.
A: Yes, we will accept cash instead of a bank check.
Q: Is it a 4 wheel drive or All Wheel Drive. It says both and they are both different!
A: The cruiser is AWD. Municibid's system populated the details when we submitted the VIN, but I have verified AWD using the VIN on other websites and have confirmed with the Chief of Police. AWD.
Q: would there be maintence records that come with the sale of this vehicle?
A: No, maintenance records are not provided.
Q: Will the decals be removed prior to pickup or do I need to bring a magnet sheet that will cover all police info until get it to its destination or take off there before I depart if the winner. I did both and want to plan ahead. thanks
A: The Chief advises the decals will not be removed; the winning bidder will be able to drive it off the lot as-is. You are not required to remove or cover the decals for transport, but you are not allowed to activate the blue lights or siren, or to otherwise portray yourself as a police officer.
Q: What is the condition of the tires and the brakes?
A: The vehicle currently carries a valid State of Vermont safety inspection sticker valid through January 31, 2026. The vehicle is available for inspection at the Brandon Police Station, 301 Forest Dale Road, Brandon, VT 05733, during normal business hours. The Town will not attempt to classify "fair" or "good" or "very good" condition of any mechanical part. The tires and brakes are not "poor" or the vehicle would not have passed the safety inspection. They are not likely to be "excellent" given the vehicle's age and mileage.
Q: Has the water pump been replaced?
A: Yes, the water pump on this vehicle has been replaced.
Q: What’s the reserve price?
A: Because the reserve price serves a different purpose from the minimum bid, we won't be publishing the reserve. If the reserve is not met at close of auction, we may or may not choose to re-list the vehicle with a lower reserve.
