The truck is equipped with a 4.0L V6 and automatic transmission.
It is in fair condition with some rust in the areas of the rocker panels and door bottoms.
The front driveshaft was removed at the time it was taken out of service. This should be replaced before any substantial driving is done.
Q: What is the issue with the driveshaft being removed? Otherwise didn’t run and shift OK Thank you for your time.
A: I was told the front driveshaft the universal on the transfer case side was making noise. When the shop removed the driveshaft and checked it they said the said the driveshaft needed to be replaced. Since was scheduled to be taken out of service, it was decided not to replace it, and to park the truck.
Q: Why was the truck relisted? Is it mechanically ok? Only needs a driveshaft?
A: Previous bidder failed to pick up the vehicle within 15 days of award as stated in the bid requirements. Several appointments were made for pick up then rescheduled, and finally no show. Final try was through Municibid and bidder did not respond to them.
