Polaris MV850 (NO TITLE)
343 miles. Runs and drives. Starts up, shifts, and stops as it should.
Currently idles rough and may stall at idle, but runs and rides fine otherwise.
See Picture with shifter moved back up. This was per a question about the shifter location.
Q: Never owned an atv, but ridden many. What steps are required for registering in NJ & is that even possible without a title? Full disclosure, I’d use this rig outta state on a large private property.
A: You will get a notorized bill of sale. I would call MVC and ask if it can be registered.
Q: The hook is the stopper for the shifter. When its in park the shifter should be at the 12 o clock postion just in front of the stopper. I own one of these machines and im very familiar with them. Can you inspect that area and see why the shifter is in that position? Im concerned that the shifter being pulled into that position might have caused damage.

Q: Why is the shifter bent in that position? It is way past the metal stopper. Was this machine in an accident or did someone pull the shifter too far and damage it?
A: That hook does not hold the shifter to my knowledge. The shifter can be pulled down to that position it is in now and pulled back. I can't tell you if that is normal or not. We have owned it for 5 years and it has not been crashed. I can not tell you if it was before we aquired it.
