The Borough of Kennett Square is selling a 2008 Ford F-350 Supercab Pickup truck:  Specs are as follows:

*Important note* Please be advised that we tried to get this truck inspected prior to sale and it failed inspection.  It needs extensive front end work (ball joints, etc.) and the pickup bed mounts have rusted and will need to be replaced which is an expensive proposition.  We got quotes on all the work and decided not to inspect the truck prior to sale and to inform everyone of the problems with this truck.  I will not divulge the quotes I received but I will say the number was in the thousands.  Inspection prior to bidding is highly advised.  The truck looks great and runs well.

If truck is purchased locally, the burgundy stripes down the side of the truck will be removed.  Otherwise, stripes will remain.

The Borough of Kennett Square, as seller, disclaims any warranty, guarantee or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability of fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale.  The truck is being sold on an “As is, where is” basis.

Bidders must be 18 years old and legally able to form a binding contract as buyers.  Placing a bid creates a legally binding contract between Buyer and Seller. Payment in full is due not later than seven (7) calendar days from the time and date of the Notice of award or the Borough reserves the right to relist the item or award it to the second highest bidder.  The successful bidder shall make payment to the Borough of Kennett Square in the form of cash, cashier’s check, certified check, or money order, made payable to The Borough of Kennett Square, 120 Marshall St. Kennett Square PA 19348.  Successful bidder shall remove item(s) within seven (7) days following receipt of payment.  Refunds will not be given for items that are not picked up by the deadline.  The Borough reserves the right to reject any bids received and to award to the vendor of choice.

Buyer has sole responsibility of picking up truck.  Delivery is not available.  Borough is not responsible for truck once it has left Borough property.

Buyer of truck will need to accompany Borough representative to tag/title processing location to transfer title to new owner.

Truck can be picked up at the Borough PW garage located at 500 Grant Way, Kennett Square PA 19348.

Bid will be awarded at the Borough Council meeting on Monday, July 18, 2016.
