Q: 2008 Ford F350 6.4L Superduty 4x4 Project, this would be a lot of work to convert..
A: OK... I do not know what it would take to convert it to your needs for your specific vehicle. We can only provide information on what it was installed on prior to removal. We are not an up-fitter shop or dealer, we suggest that if you have any doubts about this unit fitting your specific project that you do not place a bid on it.
Q: what truck chassis did this come off of. whats the measuremet from the front of the box to the center of the rear wheel weld? I see the fire pump in the picture, is this a PTO fire pump driven off the trucks engine, or does the fire box have an auxillary engine that powers the PTO fire pump?
A: Hello, This was installed on a 1995 Ford F-Superduty (F-450) dual rear wheel truck with an inner frame rail distance of 28" and an outer frame rail distance of 33.5". The distance from the front of unit (cab end) to the center of the wheel well is approximately 59". This fire pump was driven off of a hydraulic system loop that was driven off of a PTO pump that was connected to the vehicle transfer case. The entire PTO pump system is included and can be installed with a PTO kit on most transmissions that are designs to accept the system.
