2015 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD with 156,000 miles. One municipal owners for entire 11 years. Interior in very good condition, body in good condition with exception of front driver side windshield side trim is missing. Backup camera alert is not fully functioning, engine light is always on (auto repair shop is unable to determine what is wrong with it). In fully drivable condition.
Q: Was the water pump and timing chain and tensioners replaced?
A: To our knowledge, those replacements have not occurred. Though we do not have records on maintenance and I do not recall those items replaced since 2023.
Q: Is this Ford Explorer a confirmed 4 wheel drive SUV and not an All Wheel Drive?
A: Correct, the Ford marketing in 2015 blurred the lines between 4WD and AWD. This vehicle is full time all wheel drive even though the sticker indicates 4WD
