6.8 Liter V-10 Engine
Engine has been diagnosed with 4 bad valve springs, which will require repair.
There is a rust issue with the rocker panels that should be addressed.
Q: Is it just broken valve springs or did it ruin the camshaft too. Usually they go hand and hand.
A: I took the truck to Fair Field Ford in Montoursville, Pa. They quoted us to tear down motor and replace 4 Valve Springs. The truck still starts and does run but has a miss. That's all I know about it.
