We are selling this truck it was recently inspected by Perkins Pumps, and the following issues were found with the pump.
1) The pump is over speeding; there is no data plate on the pump panel
to go by. I had a hard time getting it up to the 150psi for the
capacity. once I got it, I was at 1995 rpms.
2) The lower right discharge has a hole in the piping.
3)The pump gearbox (pump transmission) has a bearing,or bearings making
noise and a vibration while pumping.
4) Master pressure gauge is not working right.
5) Number 2 discharge was leaking before I opened it.
6) The truck and pump are 41 years old.
There are no parts available for this Hale pump. We would have to make
parts for it. It is my professional opinion that this Hose Truck be
placed out of service for good.
There is rust above the wheel wells
Q: Besides the rust over the rear wheels is the underneath of the truck solid? Is the truck able to be driven of the lot or would it need to be towed in your opinion?
A: Vehicle is solid and is drivable the only issue noted is related to the pump

A: Unknown
Q: Does the reel run off a pto powered hydraulic? Is it road worthy? Eng hours?
A: Reel is Hydraulic It is road worthy Unknown on Engine Hours

A: Nope 1985 error in the title and not able to fix it. In the description it states the correct year 1985.
