Avalon Borough is currently accepting bids for a 2018 Ford Explorer V6 Police Interceptor.
Exterior and interior: The vehicle is black with cloth seats. The vehicle does not come with rear seats.
Inspection and recent work: The vehicle passed inspection in September 2026. Prior to inspection, the Avalon Public Works Crew completed the following:
Running condition: The Interceptor currently runs well and drives well. However, the battery will die if the battery shut off is not pressed "Off" when the vehicle is not in use. There is a remote battery shut off on the key ring.
Tires: The tires are in good condition, and the vehicle comes with two new spare tires. Tire tread depth is as follows:
Known item needing attention: The front sway bar links will need to be replaced in the near future.

A: There are no active engine/warning lights that come on in the vehicle

A: We do not have any records or any way to calculate how much time the car has spent idling
