Equipment Specifics

Purchased by the Authority in May 2012. Used as a construction trailer for our facility personnel while facility was being upgraded, no longer needed by the Authority due to completion of construction.

The trailer was originally manufactured for the Hurricane Katrina relief effort, by FEMA, however were deemed “not habitable” – therefore it cannot be slept in. Dimensions of trailer are roughly 28’ X 8’ X 7’.

Once purchased by the Authority the trailer went onto blocks – tires may need work to be able to be towed, otherwise flatbed will be necessary for removal.

General Bid Criteria

South Middleton Township Municipal Authority (SMTMA) as seller, makes no warranties or representations as to the conditions of the used equipment, it is being sold “as is”.  Therefore, we strongly suggest that you thoroughly inspect equipment prior to placing a bid.  Bidders may arrange to inspect the equipment by calling 717-258-6476 ext. 224 to schedule an appointment. 

Payment in full and pick-up of the awarded materials are expected no later than seven (7) calendar days from the time and date of the Notice of Award.  SMTMA reserves the right to relist the item or award it to the second highest bidder if payment and pick-up are not completed within the stipulated timeline.

The successful bidder shall make payment to South Middleton Township Municipal Authority in the form of cash, Cashier’s Check, Certified Check, or Money Order – made payable to the South Middleton Township Municipal Authority, 345 Lear Lane, P.O. Box 8, Boiling Springs,, PA 17007.  The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or portions thereof.  Once an award is made, the successful bidder shall then be responsible for the removal of awarded materials within the previously stipulated timeframes.  No deliveries are available.
