Retired plow trucks, loaders, and mowers can fund the next ones. Municibid turns Andover's public works surplus into revenue, with no fees to the department.
Every dollar shown here went back to the community that sold the item.
From a retired dump truck to a pallet of catch-basin grates, Municibid's bidders want it. No hauling, no dealer trade-ins, and the department keeps 100% of the winning bid.

We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

Andover sits in Tolland County, Connecticut, part of the state's Capitol Planning Region, and has been a town in its own right since 1848. Today it's home to about 3,177 residents who still run things the New England way, through town meeting and a board of selectmen. Town Hall stands at 17 School Road, right in the middle of the community it serves.
That same stretch of School Road tells a good bit of Andover's story, sitting between the firehouse and Andover Elementary School. The Andover Volunteer Fire Department Association was formed in February 1938 and has been part of town life ever since. Residents also rely on the town transfer station on Shoddy Mill Road, one of the everyday services that keeps Andover running smoothly.
