We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment, to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

I’ve sold on eBay which is overpriced, and they make it hard to find used parts because they prioritize new parts in their search results. Municibid is way easier to use than eBay and I like that about you guys. Also, where I give you 300 percent credit is that I can always talk to a person when I need help. For us DPW guys, we’re always out in the field. We don’t have time to wait on an email. It’s nice to get a call from you folks and I like that you’re able to talk through things in real time when we need you.

Fenwick sits on the Fenwick peninsula in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, part of the Lower Connecticut River Valley Planning Region. What began in 1871 as a summer resort community called New Saybrook grew into its own municipality when the Connecticut Legislature incorporated it by special act in 1899. Though it lies within the Town of Old Saybrook, Fenwick has governed itself separately ever since, home today to 43 residents by the latest census count.
A Board of Warden and six Burgesses leads the borough, supported by commissions overseeing planning, wetlands, zoning, harbor management, the historic district, and parks. The Park Commission maintains the borough's parkland, including a public golf course, keeping a small community's shared spaces in good order for the folks who call Fenwick home.
