We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment, to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

Killingworth traces its roots to 1663, when it was settled as the plantation of Homonoscitt. In 1667, the town was named Kenilworth, a date the town traditionally marks as its founding. Killingworth's original boundaries once included what's now the town of Clinton, before the two communities went their separate ways. Today, Killingworth is home to 6,284 residents, according to the Census, and sits within the Lower Connecticut River Valley Planning Region.
Killingworth runs its local affairs through an open town meeting, with residents gathering directly to weigh in on town business. Departments, committees, and commissions carry out the day-to-day work of local government. Since 1946, the Killingworth Volunteer Fire Company has served the town, providing fire, rescue, and haz-mat (hazardous materials) response for the community.
