We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment, to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

Forman got its start in 1883, when the townsite was first platted, with much of the land donated by Colonel Cornelius Forman. The city was officially recognized in 1884 and became the county seat of Sargent County that same year. Growth picked up in 1887, when the Soo Line Railroad reached town and connected Forman to wider trade routes.
Today, Forman sits in far southeastern North Dakota, governed by a city council. The Census puts the population at 490, while the city's own website lists about 520 residents. Either way, it remains a small, close-knit community carrying forward more than a century of history as the seat of Sargent County.
