We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment, to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

Towner County came into being on March 8, 1883, carved out of parts of Cavalier and Rolette counties in what was then Dakota Territory. Cando followed a year later, in 1884, and has served as the county seat ever since. Today, the county is home to 2,051 residents, according to the Census, spread across the rolling, farm-dotted landscape of north-central North Dakota.
County business runs through a board of county commissioners, the folks charged with keeping local government steady and responsive to residents. Their work, along with most other county offices and services, is centered at the courthouse in Cando, which the county identifies as the hub for getting things done in Towner County.
