Shickley is a village in Fillmore County, Nebraska, incorporated on March 20, 1888. At the time, about 200 people called it home, and its early commercial life grew up near the railroad tracks. Today the village sits along Nebraska Highway 74, roughly 7 miles west of the Highway 81 and Highway 74 junction, with a Census population of 343.
The Village of Shickley is governed by a village board. Village offices are located in the Shickley Community Center at 102 North Market Street. A local community foundation also works alongside the village to support community development projects.
