Jackie, I would like to thank you and the Municibid family. You helped me every step of the way and answered any questions I had quickly and kindly, no matter how silly they were. It is truly a pleasure working with you. We posted nine auctions, and eight sold, which was a great success in my opinion. It was a great experience for me, and I can’t wait to post more items for the school district on Municibid. I will recommend Municibid to any municipality looking to auction items off quickly and easily. Thanks again for all your help and time.

We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

About City of Oswego Police Department

Oswego at a glance
  • Population17,047
  • Founded1,848
  • GovernmentMayor-council
  • Land area7.6 sq mi

Oswego's recorded history stretches back to 1615, when Samuel de Champlain first noted the area where the Oswego River meets Lake Ontario. A British and Dutch settlement took root there in 1722 to serve the fur trade, laying the groundwork for the community that followed. The village of Oswego was incorporated in 1828, and just twenty years later, in 1848, it became a city in its own right.

Today, Oswego operates under a mayor-council form of government, with municipal offices located at 13 West Oneida Street. City departments, including Public Works, Police, and Fire, serve a population of 17,047 residents. Fort Ontario remains one of the city's best-known historic landmarks, a lasting link to Oswego's long history on the shores of Lake Ontario.
