Retired patrol vehicles, radios, and equipment can fund what Fairview needs next. Municibid turns department surplus into revenue, with no fees to you.
Every dollar shown here went back to the community that sold the item.
Departments list what they retire and Municibid's bidders take it from there: no hauling, no dealer trade-ins, and the department keeps every dollar of the winning bid.

TrailersThe best part about Municibid was that we didn’t think we’d get very much for one of our trucks, but we ended up selling it for exactly what we bought it for! It was awesome! It was painless. Quick and easy. Very simple. User-friendly. It’s a great resource.

We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

This is Summit Township’s first year using Municibid to deal with equipment no longer in service. While I was initially afraid that the process would be complicated and time-consuming, I have found it to be exactly the opposite. Municibid has given us a way to keep this equipment out of landfills and has provided funds to the Township through a legal, fair, and aboveboard process. It is actually fun to see the bids go up, and it's interesting that someone even hours away will participate in the bidding.

Fairview Township sits in Erie County, Pennsylvania, as one of the county's original townships. Settlement is generally traced back to 1797, when Francis Scott is recorded as the first known settler. The township includes the Avonia area and stretches to the shore of Lake Erie, with public access at Avonia Beach. Fairview Township residents are served by two local fire departments, Fairview Fire and Rescue and the Lake Shore Fire Department, both listed among the township's community contacts.
