The best part about Municibid was that we didn’t think we’d get very much for one of our trucks, but we ended up selling it for exactly what we bought it for! It was awesome! It was painless. Quick and easy. Very simple. User-friendly. It’s a great resource.

We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

About Sandy Lake Township

Sandy Lake at a glance

  • Founded1,805
  • GovernmentBoard of Supervisors
  • Land area24.4 sq mi

Sandy Lake Township traces its roots to about 1797, when Patrick McCloskey became the first to settle in the area. The township itself was formed in 1805 out of Cool Spring Township, and its boundaries were reduced to their present size in 1849. Today, it's home to 1,186 residents, according to the Census, and continues to be governed much as it has been for generations.

The township is overseen by a Board of Supervisors and maintains a township building at 3086 Sandy Lake-Grove City Road, within Mercer County, Pennsylvania. Residents and travelers alike rely on state-maintained routes like Route 173, which PennDOT (Pennsylvania Department of Transportation) has proposed for road work, connecting Sandy Lake Township to the wider county and region.
