The best part about Municibid was that we didn’t think we’d get very much for one of our trucks, but we ended up selling it for exactly what we bought it for! It was awesome! It was painless. Quick and easy. Very simple. User-friendly. It’s a great resource.

We have sold numerous things on Municibid, from large equipment to very small equipment to things we didn’t really think people would want to buy. Municibid was able to reach an audience that allowed us to sell every item. The best thing that happened to us this year was the introduction of the Municibid app. It allows us to go out in the field with a cell phone or iPad and create and post the listing from there.

What agencies say

The Borough of Palmyra faced the dilemma of how to sell two used garbage trucks and one used recycling truck after switching to a single-hauler contract with a private trash hauling company. We had the trucks appraised, and the total estimated value for all three trucks was approximately $145,000. We decided to try to sell the trucks via Municibid, and are we ever glad we did. The whole process couldn’t be more user-friendly. Our three trucks sold for $202,500, and we couldn’t be happier! I doubt very much that we would have been nearly this successful had we pursued the traditional approach of seeking sealed bids through local advertising. The bottom line is, Municibid works!
