Do I need to charge sales tax?

Municibid's policy is not to provide legal advice, so this is a question for your solicitor or lawyer. We have some government agencies who do need to charge sales tax and some who do not. Please check with your agency to find out if you are required to charge tax.

If you do need to charge sales tax, you can add your default tax amount for your agency in your account by going to My Municibid > Listing Preferences > Taxes.

When you create a listing, you will be able to choose whether or not an item is taxable. If your item is taxable, when you create an invoice, your sales tax will be automatically added to your invoice based off of the tax percentage you have added to your account.
