Item Description
You are bidding on a 2005 Freightliner M2-Business Class Truck with a Recycling Sorter Body by Kann Manufacturing. Body and hydraulics were installed by A&H Equipment when new. The vehicle is powered by a 6.4L Inline 6 Cylinder Diesel MBE-900 Engine supplied by Mercedes Benz. This is a 2 Wheel Drive, Single-Axle Chassis with a five compartment aluminum body attached. This was purchased and used as a recycling collection truck for a number of years. The aluminum recycling body is 20’ long, 8’ wide and 6½’ at its highest dimension. Aluminum body lifts via frame mounted hydraulic cylinder to dump the contents. Air tanks and batteries were recently replaced. Tires are all 50% or better. Frame is solid with minimal rust.

Truck is in overall good condition with very low miles for the year. The truck is being sold as it no longer suits the needs of our recycling program and has seen very minimal use in the past 2 years.
Truck can be driven under its own power upon receipt of payment and transfer of title. This truck is being sold as-is with no warranty or guarantee of any part of the vehicle. Please inspect the vehicle personally if you intend to bid on it.
Vehicle being sold “AS IS.” There are no warranties either expressed or implied which extend beyond the description on the face hereof. There is no implied warranty of merchantability extended to this vehicle. Purchaser is responsible for all transfer and transportation costs, and condition of vehicle.
- Sale will not be finalized until approved by Swissvale Borough Council at their September 5, 2018 council meeting.

The wheelbase is approximately 234". The cab to axle distance is approximately 171". The aluminum recycling box on the truck is 20' x 8'.

What if the selling agency rejects my bid?
If the government agency rejects your bid (they reserve the right to do so) your buyer's fee will be returned, in full, to you within 5 days of notification to Municibid of the rejected bid by the governing body.
