Bidders must be 18 years old and legally able to form binding contracts as buyers. Placing a bid creates a legally binding contract between Buyer and Seller. Payment in full is due not later than ten (10) business days from the time and date of the Notice of Award from the Township Supervisors Monthly Meeting. The Township reserves the right to relist the item or award it to the second highest bidder if payment is not made within the prescribed timeframe.
The successful bidder shall make payment to West Donegal Township in the form of cashier's check or certified check, made payable to West Donegal Township, One Municipal Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. The successful bidder shall remove the item(s) within ten business days following receipt of payment. Refunds will not be given for items that are not picked up by the deadline. The Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or portions thereof.

GENERAL PROVISIONS- Please note: It is the responsibility of all bidders to read and understand the following provisions of sale and bid procedure. Failure to comply with all provisions may result in bid rejection. In the event you do not understand the following provisions and need further clarification, please contact Township Manager John Yoder at 717 367-7178, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
EQUIPMENT TITLE TRANSFER- The successful bidder shall be responsible for all cost incurred for title transfer as may be required if any. All equipment offered for sale within this contract is currently owned and maintained by West Donegal Township, Lancaster County Pennsylvania
PRE-BID INSPECTION- All equipment offered for sale may be inspected on site Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 AM and 2:30 PM at the Township Public Works Garage located at 8 Municipal Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Equipment is offered for sale "AS IS WITH NO WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES" the successful bidder, upon making payment and taking ownership, shall be responsible for removal and all cost incurred for removal of said equipment. Buyer has sole responsibility of picking up the equipment. Delivery is not available. West Donegal Township is not responsible for equipment once it has left the Township property. In the event the successful bidder is unable to schedule removal of equipment at time of purchase, special exceptions must be agreed upon.
Equipment can be arranged for pick up at the Township Public Works Garage located at 8 Municipal Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
Bids will go to the Township Board of Supervisors for a possible award at the regularly scheduled meeting on October 14, 2019, at 7:00 PM.
