Item Description
2005 Carolina Skiff with 75 hp Mercury motor and Load Rite Trailer. Hull Identification EKHW2370D505. This is a fiberglass boat used as a patrol boat on Octoraro Reservoir. The motor does not work and may need to be replaced.
The vehicle is available for inspection by appointment at Chester Water Authority (CWA) Treatment Plant, 100 Ashville Road, Nottingham, PA 19362. Contact Frank Humbert at 717-529-2244, ext 4350. The Authority’s identifying markings and tools and equipment will be removed by the Authority prior to sale. Vehicle is being sold otherwise “AS IS”. CWA reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Payment must be made by Cashier’s Check. Buyer is required to deliver the Cashier’s Check in the total amount of the high bid to Chester Water Authority the next business day after the auction closes. Once the Chester Water Authority has received the Cashier’s Check, the buyer will be contacted by Chester Water Authority to schedule the title transfer to complete the sales transaction. Buyer is responsible for paying all fees associated with vehicle title transfer and licensing. Buyer must pick up vehicle.

The information that the motor does not run was in the Questions/Answers section on the previous posting. The highest bidder did not see it and withdrew their bid when the auction ended. For clarity, the boat has been reposted with this information in the item description.

As stated in the description the motor does not work. Yes, the shop that last serviced the motor (Fred’s Outboard and Marine in Willow Street, PA) said the issue was lack of compression.

- Winning bid: $50,000: = Buyers fee: $4,000 (8% of $50,000).
- Winning bid: $150,000: = Buyers fee: $10,500 (8% of $100,000 = $8,000) + (5% of $50,000 = $2,500).
- Winning bid: $550,000: = Buyers fee: $30,000 (8% of $100,000 = $8,000) + 5% of $400,000 = $20,000) + (4% of $50,000 = $2,000).
Where can I see what the buyers fee is?
The current buyers fee will always be shown on the page of the listing under the current price in both the bid area and auction details area. You will also see the buyers fee amount you will pay for your entered bid on the page where you confirm your bid.
What if the selling agency rejects my bid?
If the government agency rejects your bid (they reserve the right to do so) your buyer's fee will be returned, in full, to you within 5 days of notification to Municibid of the rejected bid by the governing body.
