Item Description

This is a 1986 Ford F700 fire pumper.  Gasoline Engine GVWR 26,000.  Contains a 750 gallon UPF water tank, Engine also has a 750 GPM Front Mount Hale pump.  Service records available.  Vehicle was last in service in summer of 2019.  Fire pump and engine are in good working order.  There is a fire pump cooler valve which needs repair/replacement which causes the engine to create high temperatures when the hood is not raised.

This vehicle is being replaced by a new 2019 fire engine obtained through a federal grant.  The federal grant requires that the Dunstable Fire Department certifiy that in selling the engine it will not be used for fire service.  Any buyer will have to sign an affadavit agreeing to this requirement.

This engine is sold as is with no expressed or implied warranties.  Buyer is responsible for removing the engine with 14 days of purchase.

Questions/Answers Ask the seller a question about this auction.

"Is this vehicle road worthy to drive from MA down to Virginia? what is the safe highway traveling speed? what kind of shape are the tires in, any weather checking? is there anything mechnically that will need to be addressed to use this on a ranch doing personal property wild fire protection? TRuck have AC? Thanks.. "

The vehicle was inspected and had a valid safety inspection sticker up until December 2019. I believe in its present condition it would drive from Mass down to Virginia. It would drive at 55 miles an hour. The tires are in good condition, and no weather cracking. The only mechanical work as far as the front mounted pump goes is you may have to replace some standard turn valves that are older. These valves are for the circulation of cooling water for the pump. They are easy to access. The engine is mechanically fine and was running in service until late summer of 2019. Truck has natural air conditioning. Must open windows for air flow to provide air conditioning. (edited on 07/22/2020 01:13 PM)
