Item Description

The Hopewell Borough Board of Fire Commissioners are auctioning a 1990 E-One Cyclone cab fire engine. The fire truck has a 7 man cab, powered by a Cummins LTA10-300 HP diesel engine. Currently it is believed to have 2 clogged injectors. Those injectors were last replaced in 2003. The truck is in overall good shape; however, some cosmetic rust does exist on some of the doors and body.

The truck is 31 ft long and 9'8" high. It has 63,713 miles on it, and currently shows 2,664 hours. There is a 500-gallon water tank, with a 1500 gpm Hale pump and deck gun.  The transfer case has failed and needs to be replaced or rebuilt. Work has been completed to the transfer case to make the truck roadworthy, however the pump remains out of service.  The tires have fairly average tread and come with an on-spot chain system. Most service records are available upon request, single owner. All warning lights, ladders and hose have been removed from the vehicle when decommissioned.

Vehicle is currently registered.  

Vehicle is used and may contain defects not immediately detectable.  Bidders are invited and encouraged to inspect vehicle prior to bidding; it is available for inspection in New Jersey by contacting Board of Fire Commissioners at 609-947-9729.  Offered for sale "as is, where is".  Seller makes no warranty, guarantee or representation of any kind, express or implied, as to the property offered for sale, including its merchantability or fitness for any purpose.  Buyer will be required to execute a hold harmless and indemnification agreement with the fire district concerning buyer's ownership and use of the property.  

Seller reserves the right to reject all bids for any reason and to cancel or withdraw the auction at any time.  Seller further reserves the right, prior to or after the close of the auction, to reduce the reserve, to make an offer to the highest bidder if the reserve is not met, and/or to make an offer to the second highest bidder upon default of the highest bidder.  

Property may be removed by appointment only and appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance.  Unless otherwise agreed between the seller and buyer, all property must be removed within ten (10) business days from the time and date of payment to Municibid of all sums due in connection with the sale.  The buyer must make all arrangements and perform all work necessary to remove the property at Buyer's expense.  A daily storage fee of $10.00 may be charged for any item not removed within the stated time.

Please note that all property is being sold "as-is, where-is", and upon removal of the property all sales are final.
