Item Description
Coleman Powermate BlackMax 80 Gallon Air Compressor. 6.5HP. Two Stage Pump. Voltage=208/230. Amp=22. Hz=60. Single Phase. Was used to maintain air pressure for brakes on fire trucks, and on occassion operate tools and fill tires. Drained regularly of moisture. Has been in the station since early 2000s. Box on top is removable. It was installed by staff to damped the sound. An extension was also added to the bleeder to make it easier for staff to bleed off moisture.

Yes. It was replaced with a quieter (and more expensive) compressor because staff work near it and sleeping quarters are on the other side of the wall from it.
