Payment Details
Payment due in full when item is picked up. A cashier's check written out to Borough of Somerset is required. No personal checks or other forms of payment will be accepted. An appointment must be made to finalize all paperwork and title transfers Payment in full is due no later than seven (7) calendar days from the time and date of the Notice of Award or the Borough reserves the right to relist the item or award it to the second highest bidder.
Item Description
1975 International Tandem dump truck. This truck has a 290 Cummins motor with an automatic transmission. This truck has rusted out bed around the lift cylinder and rust over the whole unit. The motor runs but needs batteries. The transmission lines are bad and need replaced. It will need to be towed or hauled away from the property.
Borough of Somerset, as seller, disclaims any warranty, guarantee or representation of any kind, expressed or implied, as to the merchantability of fitness for any purpose of the property offered for sale. Vehicle being sold "As Is" basis.
Bidders must be 18 years old and legally able to form binding contracts as buyers. Placing a bid creates a legally binding contract between Buyer and Seller. Payment in full is due no later than seven (7) calendar days from the time and date of the Notice of Award or the Borough reserves the right to relist the item or award it to the second highest bidder. The successful bidder shall make payment to Borough of Somerset in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, made payable to Borough of Somerset, 347 W Union Street, Somerset, PA 15501. Successful bidder shall remove the item(s) within seven calendar days following receipt of payment. Refunds will not be given for items that are not picked up by the deadline. The Borough of Somerset reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof and to accept the bid which it determines in its best interest.

GENERAL PROVISIONS
Please note: It is the responsibility of all bidders to read and understand the following provisions of sale and bid procedure. Failure to comply with all provisions may result in bid rejection. In the event you do not understand the following provisions and need further clarification, please contact Roger Bailey at (814)443-2661, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00AM and 4:00PM.
EQUIPMENT TITLE TRANSFER- The successful bidder shall be responsible for all cost incurred for title transfer as may be required, if any. All equipment offered for sale within this contract is currently owned and maintained by Borough of Somerset, Somerset, Pennsylvania.
PRE-BID INSPECTION- All equipment offered for sale may be inspected on site Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00AM and 2:00PM at the Borough Public Works Building located at 644 South Franklin Ave, Somerset, PA 15501. Equipment is offered for sale "AS IS WITH NO WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES" the successful bidder, upon making payment and taking ownership, shall be responsible for removal and all cost incurred for removal of said equipment. Buyer has sole responsibility of picking up the equipment. Delivery is not available. Borough of Somerset is not responsible for equipment once it has left the Borough property. In the event the successful bidder is unable to schedule removal of equipment at time of purchase, special exceptions must be agreed upon.

What if the selling agency rejects my bid?
If the government agency rejects your bid (they reserve the right to do so) your buyer's fee will be returned, in full, to you within 5 days of notification to Municibid of the rejected bid by the governing body.

FAIR WARNING ALL SALES ARE FINAL. You are legally obligated to pay for your item per the terms of the seller if you are the high bidder at the close of auction. If you do not pay for your item, you will not receive a refund of your buyer's final sale fee, you will no longer be permitted to bid on municibid.com and will be subject to a penalty of 40% of the winning bid amount. If your credit card is declined for insufficient funds, you will be charged a $50 fee.
