Item Description

Lykens Borough Authority is posting their 1984 Mack/Pierce Tanker truck up for sale. This is a retired fire service unit that was purchased by Lykens to haul backwash water from our Water Treatment Plant down to our Wastewater Treatment plant. Q:
"Good morning I have a few questions. 1. who is the pump manufacturer and how many gallons per minute? 2.Is the pump operational? 3.was the tank and pump properly drained to prevent freezing ? 4. What material is the tank made of? Poly, steel, stainless steel? 5. Were you ever able to get any pictures of the cracked frame?"
- Asked by #18705504 02/20/2024 09:24 AM
A:
The pump is manufactured by Waterous and I believe it is a 1500 GPM pump. We tried to put the truck into pump gear the other day and I am not sure if the pump light is out or if the pump will not go into pump gear. We have never used the pump for what we were using the truck for. Always used a trash pump to fill the tank with backwash water. Steel tank on the truck. Pictures of the frame will be posted shortly.
