Item Description
*****UPDATE - CARVANA OFFER IS $3,400. WILL TAKE $3,500 IF BID RECEIVED BY REVISED END OF AUCTION*****
This vehicle was purchased new for the school district. It requires some repair in order to pass PA state inspection OR it has a long life as a service vehicle on private roads. Ford discontinued this model, so it could also be parted out to obtain more value than the asking price.
FRAME AND UNDERCARRIAGE PHOTOS show a scaly frame. But there are no visible holes in the frame, and all appears to be intact. There are a few body holes that are easily repairable. However, the vehicle will not pass the bi-monthly inspection, which is more rigorous for school-use vehicles. It is possible that the vehicle will pass inspection if it were not classified as a school vehicle.
With only 40.000 miles, this would be a great vehicle for the handyman, contractor or mechanic who is willing and able to invest some sweat-equity talent into getting the PA inspection!

"how rusty is the underbody? as much as it is on the out side near the rear wheel wells? have the gas tank straps failed yet? shock mounts? " - Asked by #13971795 04/10/2024 07:54 AM |

We had our Automotive Technology teacher inspect the underbody when we took the underside pictures. Drawing upon his 30+ years in automotive career and technical education, his observations are that the frame is scaly but intact. The vehicle appears to be solid, and most likely doesn't pass inspection due to being a school vehicle. With little intervention, this vehicle should last a few more years. With some sweat equity, the vehicle could have a longer life. The motor and transmission may have more value if parted out. If you are interested in this vehicle, it would be best to inspect it yourself, and we can make arrangements to put it on the lift with some advanced notice.
